Kaptan June (27/12/1922 to 23/4/2022) Very sadly Kaptan June passed away on Saturday 23rd April.…
Dear Friends of the Foundation
I send you this note to assure you that my thoughts are with you all at this very difficult time. I’m very conscious that life is unusual and stressful at the moment and at times its hard to see the way ahead. I do urge you to remember that eventually this crisis will pass, things will get back to normal and we can all look forward to picking up the threads of our everyday life again.
Spring is coming and that in itself is an indication that whatever else may be happening in the world some things never change.
Obviously, all plans for reopening the Beach Hut are on hold at the moment, but I look forward to the day when visitors like yourselves will be able to return to Dalyan and we can share happy days at Iztuzu Beach again, joined together once more in our common aim of ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our beloved turtles – just as, at the moment, we’re joined together in obeying all the instructions given to us by our respective governments until this difficult and stressful time is past.
For those of us that celebrate it, I wish you a Happy and Peaceful Easter and I send you all – my Dear Friends of the Foundation – my very best wishes. I’m already looking forward to having happy renions with you as soon as that’s possible. In the meantime, take care of yourselves, stay safe and most important of all – STAY AT HOME !!
Best wishes always.
